Bistro Ravioli: A Taste of Italian in a Wrap

Friday, October 14, 2011
As an Italian food lover, I'm glad that I've finally paid a trip to Bistro Ravioli. Even before I've started blogging, I've already read a lot of reviews about this Italian restaurant. Back then, this ravioli destination was only available at Robinson's Place Manila. Fortunately, my date and I spotted a newly-opened branch in SM Mall of Asia. So being the foodies that we are, we didn't hesitate to give it a try.

Bistro Ravioli has clean, white minimalist interior that looked so elegant and refreshing to the eyes despite being simple. As we first walked in the restaurant, the staff were already smiling, eager to serve us. And with this kind of initiative from the service crew, I instantly had a good first impression with the restaurant.

Since my date and I were still quite full, we took our time to browse the menu. And finally after a few minutes, we've decided to go for something we haven't tried yet. In the end, I had the Italian Sausage Ravioli in Romesco Sauce (P190) while my date ordered the Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli in Pesto (P190).

Initially, we thought the serving portion was a quite small with only a few pieces of ravioli pasta in each dish. However, when we were already eating our pasta, we eventually felt that our orders were heavy for the stomach. Each ravioli was generously filled inside, so after finishing our plates, we're well-satisfied. Both our ravioli dishes were also very tasty and well worth our money.

THE VERDICT

Our experience at Bistro Ravioli is definitely a great one since it was our first time to try pasta with filling inside, a.k.a. the ravioli. And as other bloggers have written, the Italian restaurant definitely delivered. We got a taste of good food, experienced a friendly, prompt and courteous service, and enjoyed a nice ambiance, all for a reasonable price.

  6. That's actually not bad for P190. The pictures make it look like they're tasty, I'm wondering about the serving size though.
