Daily Quickie: Goldilocks' Mocha Cake & Lipton Milk Tea
Daily Quickie will be a short tag on the title which I'll use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.
After posting my Conti's review yesterday, I immediately had a strong craving for Mango Bravo. But since TriNoma is a 40-minute or 1-hour (if rush hour) drive away from us, any cake will be a good quick fix.
And today, my mom bought a Mocha Roll from Goldilocks.
I just love Goldilocks' cakes. The sponge base is soft and tasty, but I always leave the icing though -- precautionary measures against diabetes.
I also had Lipton's Milk Tea. I know it isn't as good as those from Zen Tea, Gong Cha, Chatime, Bubble Tea, Serenitea and other milk tea houses. But it's good enough to satisfy a milk tea craving at home, tastes sweet and smells really good.
My cute cup even makes the milk tea taste better. My little sis bought it for me a few weeks ago. However, I think I would stop using this cup for milk tea since I'd always use 2 sticks of milk tea powder to fill in that much. And I know milk tea isn't really healthy, especially the powdered ones.
Anyway, this is my daily quickie for the day as I enjoy and listen to some Macross Frontier OSTs while bloghopping.

super love their mocha cake too! such a classic :D
ReplyDeleteThe mocha icing 10 years ago was sweeter and much deadlier to folks with sugar problems :-D
ReplyDeleteBut it was a treat for kids and foodies (I love the ends of the cake since they have more icing than the rest of the cake :-)
For an instant milk tea, Lipton Milk tea does the trick!
ReplyDeleteBut I found a better and cheaper alternative: Liptin Yellow Label Tea + creamer or milk + sugar. Yummy!
And when I say Liptin, I really mean Lipton hahaha
ReplyDelete@thebackgroundstory.com: I love Lipton's Yellow Label Tea on its own.. But I shall try this.. ;) Thanks!
