Daily Quickie: Starbucks' Banoffee Pie
Daily Quickie will be a short tag on the title which I'll use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.
I'm not a full-fledged Starbucks convert, yet for the past 5 days, I have already ordered 1 grande frap, 3 tall iced drinks and 3 pastries from Starbucks. (Should I be considered a Starbucks patron now?)
And yesterday was no different as I spent another lazy afternoon at Starbucks, TriNoma. I claimed my free tall drink (Iced Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha this time!) courtesy of Starbucks' Customer Voice Receipt -- an automated receipt-printing system where a customer can be invited to evaluate his/her Starbucks experience thru an online survey and be given a free tall drink. (Whew! That was mouthful.) And to go with my free drink, I ordered their Banoffee Pie (P110).
It's my first time to try this, and I love it!
The caramel and chocolate-drizzled whipped cream on top just blends deliciously with the graham crumbs and the toffee and banana filling. The whole pie was not too sweet, yet it was satisfyingly good! I'm not sure if you guys and girls like it as much as I do though. And I heard Banapple's Banoffee Pie is senstational, but I haven't tried it yet. (Boo!)
Anyway, what's your favorite coffee shop pastry? Care to share, so I can try them?

ReplyDeleteI think that qualifies you as a convert! ^_^
ReplyDeleteOhhh... Banoffee pie! Funny how I've never tasted one yet. I don't like the pastries offered at the Starbucks branch here... not that much variety. Although they have my favorite cheesecakes every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Their banofee pie is delish. =)

ReplyDeleteStarbucks banoffee pie! love that!
ReplyDeletejust dropping by =)
this one's my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's good but I wouldn't really call it Banoffee pie. What it is really is just a Banana pie.
ReplyDeleteTo prove it, deconstruct it, taste the layer, next to the graham, does it taste anything like dulce de leche/toffee or caramel??? it was just place to disguise itself but really it's fake, it has zero taste. Even the chocolate layer has zero chocolate taste.
This was one of our favorite! :)
ReplyDeletei love Starbucks and this my favorite dish.
