Daily Quickie: Frank&Carol's Milk and Dark Chocolate Cake
Daily Quickie is a short tag on the title which I use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.
Earlier this year, I started my 2012 right with a trip to a one-stop desserts shop that is Parvati, the place where I first got to try Frank&Carol's chocolate cake. Just to try my luck, I joined Frank&Carol's giveaway and surprisingly, I won myself a one-year supply of their delectable chocolate cakes. (Something new for someone as unusually unlucky as me.)
If you remember my first encounter with Frank&Carol's Milk Chocolate Cake, I've described it as a lovely treat so moist, so rich and so smooth on the palate. And with the 6-inch Milk Chocolate Cake (P550) counterpart that I got as a prize, the same description still holds true.
Frank&Carol's Milk Chocolate Cake is made up of a moist base cake covered with chocolate ganache. And if you think the chocolate overload ends here, think again. This baby is even topped with high-quality Belgian chocolate shavings which got my lil sis and I hooked!
If Europe has award-winning Amedei Chocolates, we have Frank&Carol's chocolate cake to satisfy both our chocolate and cake cravings.
Frank&Carol's actually doesn't only offer a milk chocolate variant. Luckily, they also have a 6-inch Dark Chocolate Cake (P550) which I can claim from the Parvati store. And although I like the Milk Chocolate Cake a whole lot, I can't deny that I'm more deeply in love with the Dark Chocolate Cake. Even my lil sis who doesn't really dig dark chocolates fell in love with this bittersweet wonder! Don't get me wrong though, both cakes are delicious and none of them are overly sweet. However, the slight bitterness of the dark chocolate variant won us over.
Although the Chocolate Cake Day had already passed (Yeah, there's such a thing and it falls on Jan.27!), every month with Frank&Carol's delightful cakes brings me to chocolate bliss. I can't thank Frank&Carol's enough for the wonderful prize I got from their giveaway. But more so, I can't thank them enough for creating such lovely chocolate masterpieces!

ReplyDeleteHello. It's spring now, which means your friend often drinks coffee or tea. Personally, I find hot drinks without chocolate a waste of time. I prefer https://chocolateandlove.com/products/mint-67/. Delicate smoky taste is just perfect for a cup of coffee. I think your friend will like it too. I advise you to try this organic chocolate on your own.
