J.Co Donuts & Coffee: The New Donut Craze in Manila
After Krispy Kreme, another international donut and coffee destination hits Manila. But this time, it isn't from the United States, but from Indonesia. And although you probably have heard and seen this new donut and coffee establishment, it wasn't until last month that I first got to try a treat from J.Co Donuts & Coffee.
Before July ended, I've already visited J.Co Donuts & Coffee in its newly-opened branch in SM Mall of Asia. However, since I got sick a day after grabbing a box of donuts, I only managed to get a taste of two donut flavors. And to save my throat from demise, I decided to just give this Indonesian donut brand another try after I recover my taste buds.
Although I got better in a week, it wasn't until last Saturday that I finally had the chance to visit J.Co Donuts & Coffee. But this time, in their flagship store at SM Megamall since I was already there to take advantage of the Mega Food Sale. However, I wasn't sure if I already got lucky 'cause I only had to wait over 30 minutes to get to the counter. You see, after I bought my box of donuts, there was a sudden surge of queuing patrons.
I had a short chat with one of the crew at J.Co Donuts & Coffee, and I found out that the SM Megamall branch is always packed even on weekdays. On peak hours, lines by the counter are always this long, or even worse. And on average, customers should wait about an hour or even two before getting their J.Co Donuts. That's just crazy, right?!
With lines this crazy long, and patrons this crazy over J.Co Donuts, I guess I really had to sample as many donut flavors as I can to try and justify this crazy demand. So without further ado, here are my 2 separate purchases of a Dozen of Donuts (P350).
This first box is what I bought last month from the SM Mall of Asia branch, but I only got to try two flavors since my throat can't take more than that, being sick and all.
This second box on the other hand, was from my recent visit to J.Co Donuts & Coffee in SM Megamall. Although I successfully got a hold of the best-selling Alcapone which my parents and aunt loved to bits, I didn't manage to try the other unique flavors like the Mona Pisa and Mango Blitz since they weren't readily available.
THE VERDICT
After finally getting a taste of J.Co's donuts, I can definitely say that these are my kind of donuts. They got great variety, aren't too sweet, and they also have quirky names that I dig. I also like their pricing strategy of marking every donut at P42 each so customers won't get budget-conscious in trying out certain flavors. However, I'm still not willing to line up for an hour just to get a hold of them. I draw the line at 30 minutes.

This first box is what I bought last month from the SM Mall of Asia branch, but I only got to try two flavors since my throat can't take more than that, being sick and all.
- Alcapone - I personally got to try this J.Co signature donut and I loved it! The donut itself is very soft with smeared white Belgian chocolate frosting and toasted almond slices on top. Aside from tasting sweet and creamy, the crispy almonds were also a delight to munch.
- Green Tease - I also got to sample this round donut with a generous green tea frosting. Although I liked that J.Co's is truly of a green tea flavor, I found it a little too much for a piece of pastry.
- Why Nut - Next to Alcapone, this is my favorite. Aside from a white chocolate topping over the soft donut, it's also filled with a slightly chunky peanut butter inside making this perfect for peanut butter lovers like me.
- Mr. Green Tea - Unlike the Green Tease flavor, this donut has just the right amount of matcha green tea for me. Every bite didn't have an overbearing green tea taste, and the crushed nuts atop also added for an interesting crunch.
- Avocado DiCaprio - Many raved about this, but unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed. The taste might have changed since I ate this the next day after my purchase, but I find the avocado flavor a little lacking. However, I liked the surprise cream filling inside, as well as the chocolate bits around the donut.
- Alcapone - It would be a sin not to include this on our top picks. We can actually buy a dozen of just all Alcapone, and I'm dead serious!
- Jacky Chunk - This is my little sister's pick since she was the only one who got to try this both times. She said the dark chocolate frosting together with the chopped peanut toppings made this donut very enjoyable.
- Blueberry More - Aside from Alcapone, my mom likes this donut smeared with blueberry jam and adorned with white chocolate bits on the side. It was quite a given though since my mom likes berries.
THE VERDICT
After finally getting a taste of J.Co's donuts, I can definitely say that these are my kind of donuts. They got great variety, aren't too sweet, and they also have quirky names that I dig. I've visited J.Co twice..to drink coffee. Haven't tried the doughnuts yet.hahaha.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.dekaphobe.com/
I have yet to try their coffee naman.. :D
DeleteDonuts and coffee is the perfect match. We always get brewed when eating sweet pastries (this includes donuts for me..hehehe) so we can appreciate the taste of the bread.
DeleteI haven't tried J Co because the lines have been so long but hope to try it real soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope they open a shop here in BKK, too! :)
DeleteThis is a MUST-TASTE to my family.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the photo with that very long
line of donut fans... it's surely a blockbuster!
A J.Co branch is always crowded, which is understandable given the fact that they serve best-tasting donuts.
ReplyDeletei have J.Co. GC pero hindi ko maredeem at ang layo ng branch nila tapos ang haba pa ng pila. sana magkaroon na ng branch dito sa South. =D
ReplyDeleteI think the nearest J.Co branch from he south is the one in Greenbelt? Anyway, redeem your GC when you get the chance sis! :D Their donuts are really enjoyable~
Deletemy eldest son always bring home a dozen of these doughnuts every payday, but before i could take pictures, the box is already empty
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I read your blog! I actually thought it's an American brand. I feel proud when something really good emerges from Asian countries. Their donuts are to die for! *drools*
ReplyDeletewaaaaaa everybody seems to be eating Jco! i was looking for this sa Moa and couldn't find it coz i was soooo tired! ka inis!
ReplyDeleteJ.Co in MOA is outside the mall. It's along the side lang of McDonald's :) I didn't find it too the first time I was looking for it, yun pala nandun lang siya katabi ng Yoshinoya if I'm not mistaken.. :D
DeleteUnique way of branding! I'm not a fan of krispy kreme, my guess is I will love J.Co donuts! The avocado dicaprio and the matcha really piqued my interest. love the beauty shot!
ReplyDeletehmm.. a must-taste for me. i miss our donuts. donuts here are incomparable to ours. long lines? i bet in a few months those will be shorter. We, Filipinos are really always eager to try the latest in the market.
ReplyDeleteHaha.. True! :D I remember tuloy the lines for the big milk tea shops the first time they opened. Laging super crowded. Now, although there are still many customers, the line aren't as crazily long already.
DeleteI love JCO donuts. It's just so hard to buy because of the long lines!
ReplyDeleteYou should try Iced Thai Tea next time you drop by J.CO!
ReplyDeletexoxo
MrsMartinez
I'll definitely try their beverages soon.. :D Thanks for the recommendation Mrs.M! :)
DeleteI saw this sa Trinoma. What is long line? Ang galing lang kasi super updated din ang mga pinoy when it comes with food. Pagtyagaan ko ng pumila this weekend to get over with haha! :D
ReplyDeleteVisit their stores early, kahit weekend, para hindi pa masyadong mahaba ang pila :) It gets really crazy in the afternoon, but in the morning, pwede pang mag-lounge around sa shop.. ;)
DeleteWow, I didn't know na may ka-kumpentensya na pala ang Kripy Kreme. Their donuts look very attractive and yummy. HIndi rin sya mahal ha. Not bad!
ReplyDeleteGive it a try when lines aren't crazily long. I admit, they're donuts are good in terms of flavor and variety.. :) For plain ones though, I'd still give it to Krispy Kreme's original glazed doughnuts ^^
ReplyDeleteThere is this crazy line at the Greenbelt, Makati branch EVERY TIME we go there. And I mean CRAZY. My curiousity couldn't even get the best of me sa haba ng line, nahihiya akong pumasok lang just to see what the fuss is about!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty interested about the Alcapone flavor, too! I've been drawn to flavors with almonds. Usually counters the sweet taste.
i love doughnuts, too. their flavors are quite interesting. must be the reason why the long queues.
ReplyDeletebut at 42/pc...i guess, i'll stick to dunkin na lang muna ^_^
Not really a donuts lover but I guess there's not harm in tasting it. :)
ReplyDeleteWe love J.Co donuts, too because they're super soft and not too sweet. My personal favorites are Cheese Me Up and Mona Pisa.
ReplyDeleteD bought me the Green Tease when they visited Megamall last week :) i liked it even though im not so much of a donut fan :)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to look closely at the donut photos and compare if ever they have the swiss mocha version of mister donut but can't find one...honestly, that is still my favorite donut flavor... :D
ReplyDeleteyum, there are lots of flavors to choose from. I want to order all of them.
ReplyDeleteOn my way to greenbelt now for a chance at J Co. Donuts. I also saw a J Co in Singapore last week.
ReplyDeleteYummly....I must try this Indonesian Donuts.
ReplyDeleteOh my, look at the queue. It must be that good.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely try these on December!!!
ReplyDeletei love them than other brands! <3 my faves-- choconutzzy, alcapone and don mochino! :) next is crunchy crunchy & oreology :)
ReplyDeleteMas nasasarapan ako sa J. Co donuts kesa KK. KK for me is too sweet.
ReplyDeleteMouth-watering donuts! Ang layo naman kc from our place. :(
ReplyDeleteI love their donuts. I tried them once in the ibutterfly event (they were sponsors) and another time during Toycon when the toy collectors bought it for their snacks and was there to try it out again. I highly recommend them as well!
ReplyDeletePeople lining up to buy some donuts is a good indication of good donuts. Will buy and try their donuts soon.
ReplyDeletemight go check it out but not at the megamall branch. :)
ReplyDeleteHope they will open here in Davao City too =)
ReplyDeleteInteresting donut names! I have passed by a couple of times but I haven't bought any. Hope they open a branch in Eastwood!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I didn't know this is from Indonesia. Thank you for the info! :)
Wow, you had the courage to stand in queue, glad to know it was worth it. I love Why Not's appearance. There is no J. Co branch in my city but if I had to eat with my eyes, I'll pick Why Not. Next would be the blueberry. =)
ReplyDeletelooks like another big hit in the philippines. i remember another brand (from Sing)opened here in dubai. almost the same concept but didn't last. it's sad because it captured the taste of the filipinos but the store suddenly closed. the variants look yummy...
ReplyDeleteThe doughnut business is really into a very strong competition nowadays. Haven't had the chance to taste all the flavors of all the others who came before and now here comes another.
ReplyDeleteI feel out of the world. Am i the only one who haven't tried this yet? Anyways, I think i'll love this as much as I love KK since it's not that sweet and lots of choices!! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm loving J.Co and some of my favorites are Alcapone, Mr. Green Tea, Oreology, Don Mochino, Snow White and Mona Pisa.
ReplyDeleteThere's a new store in Trinoma that I've yet to visit.. I've been meaning to get some donuts here.. but my laziness gets the best of me! Hehe.. now that you've shown me a few of the best choices, I'll surely hit the nearest store this weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be sinful on my diet again! But those donuts are really tempting!
ReplyDeletewow ... if people really flock in , it must be good ... i must taste this one :D
ReplyDeleteOMG! One hour of waiting is CRAZY! Haha! I've heard about JCO before and would love to try them out if only lines aren't that long.
ReplyDeleteWait, is Glazzy sort of honey-glazed? Wooohooo would love to try those donuts!~ Your post made my mouth water. ã…‹ã…‹
ReplyDeleteBut wait, 40+ for every donut? Heheheheh.. XD
Got to try their Alcapone and its really good. Though this would be another expensive donut to buy. XD
ReplyDeleteFunny names! Parang yummy yung Donna Italiano. I'll try the MOA branch some time. :)
ReplyDeleteReading your post makes me excite trying the donuts soon. Naalala ko nung October 2012, nagtataka kame baket super haba ng pila sa SM MOA branch, akala namen may free taste LOLS. Di pa ako familiar sa J.CO Donuts nun, so when we got home, sinearch ko and found out na marami pala talagang pumipila para dun.
ReplyDeleteWhen I got a chance to buy, mas maganda talaga maaga-aga haha!
Your photos = total eye candies!! Gusto ko na sila tikman! HAHAHA!
masarap talaga ang JCO donuts:)
ReplyDeleteJ. Co is the best!
ReplyDeleteI havent tried JCO donuts but im so craving for it!
ReplyDeletewow! ill definitely try all the donuts at JCOs!
ReplyDeleteI have visited MOA branch of J.CO donut and there was really a line forming even in the afternoon. One time they run out of donut and have to close 1 day. The problem is if you buy 2 dozen the cheaper their donuts is against 1.
ReplyDeleteJ. Co Donut too many flavor too hard to choose have to try them all but still not enough since some of the flavor run out of stock
ReplyDeleteJ. Co Donut too many flavor too hard to choose have to try them all but still not enough since some of the flavor run out of stock
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried their famed donuts:( but I've heard a lot of promotions about this brand, and I didn't know it's from Indonesia:)thanks for the info. Maybe I'll visit a branch soon to try it:)
ReplyDeleteI see their branch in ATC and it always has a long queue T_T
ReplyDeleteIs J. Co Donuts& Coffee have a promo? I always see long lines at their Trinoma branch. My dia and I tried J. Co Donuts when we were abroad. I think they're not that sweet compared to Krispy Kreme but I still love Krispy Kreme though...

ReplyDeleteI haven't try that yet. But I'm planning to grab that as pasalubong to my family next week. Looks yummy! especially the chocolate ones. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Alcapone and Tiramisu is HEAVEN! Got to try this with a friend a month ago. It was my first time. and the first word I said after a bite was.. "HEAVEN"! and they served us free drinks! i think it was Choco Mint? hahah The Branch I went to was in MOA
ReplyDeleteI've tried J.Co donuts in Singapore and I wasn't too impressed with their dough. I haven't tried them here, though. Maybe, my experience here with J.Co would be a lot better :-)
ReplyDeleteMy new favorite. Sorry KK.LOL
ReplyDeleteI love J.Co Donuts!

ReplyDeleteHi Purple Doll! I'm your new reader and I love this blog post of yours. Hopefully you could try out our restaurants at The Bellevue Manila, also known as, Alabang's dining Mecca. Bellevue gathers epicures and foodies in its various dining outlets to choose from - Cafe d'Asie, Phoenix Court, Poolside, Pastry Corner and Vue Bar.
ReplyDeleteWarm wishes!
I've seen a lot of Cebuanos bringing J.Co Donuts pasalubong when they return from the Manila and true enough, I saw the long queue when I was at Manila for a business trip. I am still curious as to how their doughnuts and coffee taste! Hope they'd open a branch here in Cebu! (Or I'll just have to battle the queue when I get back to Manila! XD hahahaha~)
ReplyDeleteThe variety of their donuts are plentiful that makes us want to try them all with their coffee.
ReplyDeletelook so yummy! dami bumibili ha. sarap tikman lahat ng flavors. mejo affordable naman try ko yan!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried J.Co yet. The lines are too long. Hopefully I can have this one soon :)
ReplyDeleteSweet tooth! Super love J.Co donuts but haven't tried their beverages, I'll try both soon! Ahhh craving! :D <3
ReplyDeleteThe long queue is crazy! If you are to go there during the weekends, you will to wait an hour or so just to buy a dozen! =)
ReplyDeleteYum.. Sarap
ReplyDeleteSaw this J.Co Donuts at Greenbelt. Wanna try sana kaso ang haba ng pila. Maybe next time. Mas lalo ko ako na-curious because of this review :)
ReplyDeleteWant to try their donuts soon pero sobrang haba ng pila. Masarap daw naman kasi kaya ganun :)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this J. Co Donuts, thanks for the information! I'll try this on New Year! Sana Yummy!
ReplyDeleteLaging ang haba ng pila nito sa Greenbelt! :D
ReplyDeleteI've tasted their doughnuts because of a friend but I really wanted to buy myself but the lines are crazzzzyyy! They have good stuff but imo, really overrated.
ReplyDeleteThe lines are always long in Megamall but the newly opened branch here in Eastwood is not that congested. If you wanna grab a box or two, you can drop by here for an easier purchase :)
ReplyDeletei love JCO Donts!
ReplyDeleteI love how their donuts don't look too unifrom like KK's. Gives me a feeling that they are more special lol. But for plain ones KK's original glaze is still the best.
ReplyDeleteawesome
ReplyDeletethis is my newest fave donut shop hihi alcaponeee

ReplyDeleteI really love J.Co Donuts! :p
ReplyDeleteIt's more popular than Krispy Kreme in Indonesia. The crazy line also happened here when J.Co just opened for the first time. ah I want to buy their donuts now after reading this post lol

ReplyDeleteCRAAAAAVE! I wish one was nearer home!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't tried J.co to be honest, but I'm really curious about the rave. Every time I pass by J.co in Trinoma, the lines are always crazy long. Might try this soon if I gather enough patience to stand in line for doughnuts. ;)
ReplyDeleteMag-uuwi ako nito! :)

ReplyDeleteI so love Alcapone too! I've tasted the Crunchy Crunchy but unfortunately it failed to satisfy my taste buds. Still a lot of flavors to try, the crazy lines are discouraging though.
ReplyDeleteI wana try JCO s Copa Banana donuts its look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm no big donut fan because most donuts are too sweet for me. But after tasting J.Co, I had a change of heart. It's not overloaded with sugar and it has new and interesting flavors!! My favorite is the Mr. green tea donut and Avocado DiCaprio (well, I guess I'm in love with color green!).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the interesting information that you have shared here, very interesting to read.
ReplyDeleteI dont get the hype for J.Co donuts theses days. . but since im going back to Manila in a few days, might as well see the "hype" for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteNever have tasted JCo donuts. for every time I have tried to buy the line from the counter down to wherever the end was makes me wanna say Next time.. =(
ReplyDeleteThe lines are so long. . . but it's worth the wait. I love the Alcapone and the Green Tea.

ReplyDeleteSee.. You're here on this same post again >.< You've been here for over 10 times!
DeleteOne of my friend pep talk about this donuts. He said that this donuts can beat the Krispy Kreme, I doubt at first. But I changed my mind when he said that when you will buy a dozen you'll allocate patience and time to indulge the goodness and tasteful of it. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteThis blog gave me ideas and tips what to buy once I visit the Jco. Thanks for the information God bless!
I love their donuts too! I think aside from KrispyKreme cravings JCO cravings is now added to my list. Its just really irritating when they have this crazy line all the way to the counter.
ReplyDeleteBut, JCO donuts are really worth it! Nom nom..
love donuts, good thing they open a branch at sm north,i could now visit their store more often
ReplyDeleteWhy Nut is my favorite too!! I quit eating donuts (talk about healthy) but I made exception to J. Co :) Only finished one J. Co donut once and never again, but I'll always have a bite of Why Nut and Alcapone. Haha I just can't resist. :-p

ReplyDeleteWow! Your blog post makes me hungry again :D Can't wait to try it :D
ReplyDeleteI want to try these donuts :)
ReplyDeleteI just tried J. Co. donuts yesterday with my family. They are good! I predict this will be the pasalubong of choice once the lines have cleared out and they open more branches.
ReplyDeleteI love j.co donuts.my favorites are coco loco and forest glam. but the nearest J.co store from our home is the one at SM MOA or at the district Imus. :( and whenever I make lambing to hubby, he always say "ang haba kaya ng pila!" hope they can improve their service to shorten the lines and also they should add more stores! preferable at SM Bacoor. hahahaha! :)
ReplyDeleteI so love J.Co Doughnuts! The taste is just balance not too sweet. :) Everytime i saw this im craving for it.
ReplyDeleteIt's worth it if you buy two dozen (two boxes) at the same time. I just found this out recently. Now I know why so may people line up and leave with two boxes most of the time.
ReplyDeleteI love J.CO Doughnuts, I love when it is fresh from the oven and I could wait in line to just to get a box of it and pasalubong for my kids.
ReplyDeletehad the first taste of j.co donuts last year, sept., when my niece celebrated her bday here at home and these donuts were served as part of her party food... i think i haven't tasted why nut and mr green tea... would love to try them :)
ReplyDeleteNow am craving for this.. :)
ReplyDeleteI also love Alcapone as well as Heaven Berry. Yeah, the lines are always long but I manage to catch them with not so long lines at those unusual hours--but I'm not hungry then and it's too early to buy a box and lug it around all day haha.
ReplyDeleteBut yes, everyone who hasn't given it a try should!!! Must!!!
JCO donuts are trending now on facebook, the are giving free donuts, how i wish, there are branches here in bulacan
ReplyDeleteI've tried JCO donuts twice and it's sooo yummy! I'm gonna buy some more :)))
ReplyDeleteI already tried J.Co donuts and it's so yummy! As in heaven talaga. Worth it ang pagbili mo. My new pasalubong everytime i go home. <3
ReplyDeleteI like the green tease, not only yummy but it is also nutritious!
ReplyDeleteJ.Co Donuts The most Talk About Donut in my TIMELINE and up to now I haven't tasted any of it,,, hahaha why, because I hate waiting in LIne LOLs and its always like that... Am I missing half of my life is that how delicious J.Co donuts are? ^^V
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I love j.co except the long lines we have to endure everytime I try to buy, it's been over a year since they're opening but until now, they still have this madness. hehe still, i love their donuts, and coffees too!=)
ReplyDeleteI am still amazed that even after the J.Co MOA Branch opened a year ago, people are still lining up like cray. Their donuts a must try though.. ☺
ReplyDeleteAlcapone is my favorite.. too bad lage lang mabaha ang pila sa newly opened store in Glorietta.
ReplyDeleteJust like you, Alcapone and Why Nut are my favorite flavors. The Belgian chocolate is like heaven!! <3 It's really worth the time you fall in line just to get your box of delish donuts! :)
ReplyDeleteI had the chance to taste J.CO donut when my cousin bought 2 boxes in SM Mall of Asia and it was my first to taste it. I love the Alcapone, we same fav. hope I'll have a chance to taste their coffee bec I am coffee lover..
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Love Alcapone and Oreology! I missed eating donuts from J.Co. I always consider buying some dozens again because its my "pangarap" >:)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried J.co, Im really curious about the taste of their donuts coz whenever we pass along J.co the lines are very long, siguro nga masarap talaga siya! sana hindi mahaba pila pag napadaan kami :)
ReplyDeletethe green tease is something to look forward to in this store. i tasted it once and it melted in my mouth.oh gees the sugar rush! hahah. anyway, j.co offers good variety of doughnuts but really i do not understand why their line is always that long. i mean, they should do something about it as it turns off many curious people as well.
ReplyDeleteI feel you! It was actually okay to have long lines when it first arrived in the Philippines. Pero now, it's been a year na. Medyo OA na! Hahaha!
Deletehoping na someday makatikin din ako nito, :)
ReplyDeleteamazing
ReplyDeletemasarap yan,. halos ayaw mo ng tigilan paf natikman mo,. :-)
ReplyDeleteone time pinasalubungan kami ni ate ng ganyan, akala ko same lng xa ng nakasanayan kong donut pero mmmmm sobrang sarap nya,.
ReplyDeleteits a little bit expensive than a usual donuts that i buy but its worth it to eat,. its yummy,.
ReplyDeletefirst time nmin kumain ng wife ko nito, halos ayaw nmin tigilan yung 1 box na binili nmin,. ang sarap nya tas ang lambot pa,.
ReplyDeleteA bit expensive and the line is always long..but what the heck..love j.co. donuts. para syang pringles..when you pop you cant stop. I ♥ j.co!

ReplyDeletei dont know if its only me, but I never liked the j.co donuts - i find it too sweet and pag nahanginan na or pag di na freshly baked - ang bilis tumigas , kaya i only got to eat it pag may nagbibigay, I dont buy kasi nga hindi ko sya masyado gusto. But again, that's me!
ReplyDeleteParating mahaba ang pila sa J.Co Cubao branch, donuts are good specially Alcapone. :) Pero I prefer Dunkin' pa din.
ReplyDeletei <3 the blueberry more and alcapone..the best!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try out this but unfortunately it is still not available here in Davao but I've heard it will next year.. All of their doughnuts are tasty and delicious
ReplyDeleteTrue, JCO in Mega used to be VERY crowded when they newly-opened. These days naman okay na ang pila! :D
ReplyDeleteI love J. CO donuts! My nephew loves it too much!
ReplyDeleteAs usual when we got there at their store at megamall, long line was already starting to build up. Luckily we went past ahead of those other buyers and we bought 2 dozen, enough for our big family with big appetite :) i planned to get various flavors hoping to try 'em all, but sadly they quickly run out of doughnuts, so I was a little bit forced to choose and just point whatever flavor is available. Anyway, it was alright, for I still had the best flavor that day, Alcapone :)
ReplyDeleteNow, I want Jco donuts and i love alcapone. Was happy to try jco pops first before buying my regular sized donuts. I got to taste different flavors and choose my favorite after. :)
ReplyDeletehow long does the donuts last?
ReplyDeleteim planning to buy some for paslubong :)
I love doughnuts in JCo sooo much! esp.Strawberry flavor. super sweet!
ReplyDeleteI'm an Indonesian living in Jakarta. I can't believe that you need an hour or more to buy it, here in Jakarta even though the store is crowded you never spend more than 3-5 minutes in the line. In fact i never even have to stand in lines, if i spend a long time, that's because of my dilemma to choose the heavenly donuts :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the nearest JCo store from my home has a drive thru. Do you have it back in Manila?
Hi Anon! All J.Co stores in Manila are inside malls, so no drive thru for us. With long and slow-moving lines inside stores, I doubt we'll have a J.Co drive thru soon. XD
DeleteAlso, with PHP350 (IDR95k) you can get 2 dozens in Jakarta
