Daily Quickie: McDonald's Twister Fries
Daily Quickie is a short tag on the title which I use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.
With an almost unending series of bad weather, I haven't found myself eating out as frequently as I'd like to. So to make up for it, I ordered a few items from the ever trusty fast food chain, McDonald's. Last night, when I called in to order my go-to burger, the tasty Filet-o-Fish (P95), the agent informed me that Twister Fries (P59) is finally back.
Of course, I wouldn't want to miss this chance so I got one for myself. Even my little sis who initially didn't want to order anything for midnight snack changed her mind when she heard I was ordering the Twister Fries. Well, we just can't resist the temptation of curly, extra crunchy and spiced strips of potatoes. Unlike regular french fries which never fail to wither whenever we order some for delivery, the Twister Fries stay crispy even after being stored in the rider's delivery bike for over 30 minutes. Definitely delivery-friendly!
After releasing the Big N' Tasty, it's nice that McDonald's is following it up with the return of the famous and always sought after Twister Fries. However, these treats will only be available for a limited time, just 3 weeks from now. So if I were you, make sure to grab it either ala carte (P59), with Regular Coke McFloat (P78), or with Monster Coke McFloat (P88) when you visit a McDonald's branch!

Ang bilis mong nakapost about this sis! Kagabi pa ako may fries cravings :p
ReplyDeleteQuick post lang naman 'to sis.. hehe.. And I just can't miss sharing with everyone the good news! :)
DeleteAll of my friends over IG has been posting Twister fries all day. Nagutom na tuloya ko lalo.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't like about this is that Mcdo Philippines is not generous with the fries. If you try Mcdos in other country, you'd know they don't use a weighing scale. And they literally pour the fries as in bonggang-bongga. They don't pick out fries when they think they put too much. :(
ReplyDeleteNow that you mentioned it, this is actually what I don't like about McDo's here. Let's hope in the future they'll be generous with the fries serving as well.
DeleteI just had twister fries last night! Yummy!
ReplyDeletei'm ordering mcdo NOOOOW! :D
ReplyDeleteI've heard about the Twister Fries via twitter. I'm excited to buy one after our youth service later :D (goodbye diet :P)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Maggie, I wish McDo PH doesn't limit the quantity of fries. :(
But the box seems a bit big. Is it worth it for its price? (proportion wise)
It's bigger than the regular fries serving. I think the twister fries are as many/few as the medium one? For the ala carte price of P59, it's actually a little pricey.. :(
DeleteAwww yummy <3
ReplyDeleteOh got to have this soon or maybe later. hehe
ReplyDeleteMas gusto ko twister fries kesa sa criss cut fries.... buti naman binalik ulit ng Mcdo.
ReplyDeletegotta rush to mcdo na. haha. although the reg. fries makes me happy already :D
ReplyDeleteOh my sis Sumi! That photo of the Fillet-o-fish made me want to grab one later!!! I am absolutely in love with it! When every one of my friends are ordering chicken fillet, I go for the Fillet-o-fish! :)) HAHA
ReplyDeleteYay for a fellow Filet-o-Fish lover! *apir* :D It's so good noh? And it's almost impossible to get tired of its taste~
DeleteTwistah Fries! Kaya lang, it seems that the quality of Twister Fries hindi na kasing sarap nung mga naunang release especially when they released it nung elem/highschool days ko. :( parang tumabang.
ReplyDeleteAww.. That's sad nga. I can't remember how the old releases of Twister Fries taste like though. But yung ngayon naman, still good enough for me.. ^^
Deletehave not tried this twister fries... may be this saturday.
ReplyDeleteAww the twister fries should stay forever. Now I am going to Mcdonald's later. :) I love dipping it in my sundae. hahaha
ReplyDeleteHave your tried the crosscut fries from Jollibee?
waaaa.. Mc Donalds!!!! :D Now I'm craving for the twister fries.. wala na atang stock saamin niyan dito :( huhuhu.. di bale.. pagdating ko jan sa Manila, yan ang una kong kakainin!!! wahahahaha :DD

ReplyDeleteTwister fries.... Why are you so delicious... pahamak ka sa diet ko LOL...
ReplyDeleteI see the only difference on the kind of 'breading'(?) on the fries; and it's twisted! HAHA! But anyhow, this is one great comfort food nonetheless :>
ReplyDeleteWow! Parang magandang pasalubong yan sa girls ko later!
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer this type of fries rather than the usual one.
ReplyDeletegoing to mc do now!! as in now na!!haha lol..:)
ReplyDeletewahahha!! na Law of Attraction ko ata ang twister fries. we frequently dine at Mcdonalds every Merienda time and I always asked when will the twister fries be back.. so here it is! :)
ReplyDeletei really wasn't fond of Twister Fries back then. maybe because of its price and it only has little servings. but now that i'm here in Germany and I think it's not offered here, i just want one now. :(
ReplyDeleteI love twister fries..How about the return of the two piece terriyaki burger steak with rice though?
ReplyDeleteOh, joy!
ReplyDeleteI've been eating this since yesterday, and my food post for this week will be this, too! :)
Why kaya is their twister fries so yummy? I like this better than their regular. I know it's their strategy to make it yearly but it works. I missed their twister fries!
ReplyDeleteWhile looking at your photos, it's the filet-o-fish that has caught my attention ; p I always dial 8-McDo whenever I am craving for one ; )

Yummy. I am not a twister fan, I still prefer french fries but would love to eat twister every now and then.
ReplyDeleteTwister frieeees! Me wants to get my hands on 'em soon! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a fan of mcdo but I think I should try this one..
ReplyDeleteJust had mine the other day. Had to resist it at first, but i had to give in. hahaha.
ReplyDeletewe just sampled the twister fries the other day when we went down to mcdonald's to have the little man's birthday party booked. mcdo is our go-to place for fast food these days since they have the coca-cola glasses back + i am collecting 2 sets. the twister fries is but another reason to dial their delivery hotline! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I last ate in Mcdonalds...I better eat there now! haha
ReplyDeleteNa-miss ko yang twister fries! Are they still good like they used to?
ReplyDeleteThose twister fries will be perfect on a rainy day like this :). I miss them... Might grab a coke float while I'm at it...
ReplyDeleteHindi ko alam na kakabalik lang pala ng Twister Fries :D Pero nakita ko ito kahapon sa McDo when I checked the promo for the olympic glasses.
ReplyDeleteNakakamiss ang mga pagkain sa mcdo. Parang mula ng matira kami dito sa Panglao, twice pa lng ako nakakain sa McDo. Palaging Jollibee dahil walang play area dito ang McDo unlike Jollibee. So prefer ng daughter ang Jollibee.
i'm a great fan of mc donalds too but i do prefer their regular fries.
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I tried it again yesterday. Kinda salty for us. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat thing for us and for them (McDonald's) to bring back Twister Fries. Yummm!
ReplyDeletethis made me so envious as we don't have (yet) twister fries here.
ReplyDeletei love twister fries! i like it with mayo, ketchup or sans anything.
so its only limited for 3 weeks pala. I think got to grab myself one! Nice photography talaga. I love your blog you're certified foodie indeed :)
ReplyDeletecraving now!
ReplyDeleteYum yum yummy twister fries! I hate that it isn't permanently on the menus and come up just once in a while. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love McDonald's Twister Fries. Jollibee's Crisscut Fries really pale in comparison. I wish Twister were available all year round...
ReplyDeleteMommy wants to haave this last week, but we didn't able to buy because we haven't got the chance to go to mall this weekends due to rain.
ReplyDeletebought twister fries the day it came back! hahaha missed it so much!

ReplyDeleteIt's good to have Twister Fries once in a while. But, it has the "sawa-factor" for me. That's why I think they made the right choice of making it available for a limited time only. Haha!
ReplyDeleteMiss ko na ang Mcdo ha. iban talagang nandito kami sa Bukidnon, Chowking lang at Jolibee and nandito. :-). Basta pag naka visit na ako sa blog site mo. nawawala ang diet performance ko. :-).
