The Purple Doll's 1st Year Blog Anniversary + Giveaway #1!

Time flies so fast when you enjoy what you're doing, and that's exactly what I have in my mind right now. Even after 12 months and 245 blog entries later, I still can't believe that it has already been a year since I've first published a blog post here. It's funny too how things have turned out with my blogging adventure, yet at the same time, I feel blessed.

If you've read my very first blog post, you'd realize that I made this blog as my personal space on the internet. I actually wanted to combine posts about things I love -- beauty, fashion, photography, art and design, anime, Japanese culture, food and myself. However, my love for food prevailed and this very girly-sounding blog inevitably turned into an all-food blog. There came a time when I wanted to change my blog name and domain, but most of my cyber-friends already know me as The Purple Doll. So in the end, I just decided to own up the brand of a girly-girl food blogger who loves purple.

Throughout a whole year of blogging, I met a lot of wonderful people, learned a lot of new things, experienced a lot of new adventures, and ate a lot of really good food. And although I didn't expect some things, I'm so happy that I hit the 1,000 likes mark on Facebook, won in the Influential Blogs writing project, and have recently been featured as a guest reviewer on Pop Talk, and I want to thank all of you for making these possible.
