Humming Bread: My Little Sister's Poring Cake
Time flew by so fast when 2012 hit the "ber" months that I literally felt like it was just a few days ago. It also didn't help that my little sister turned 18 last November 15. All these years, I've treated her like a child -- innocent, pure and somehow clueless about the world. But now, she's grown so much that she's actually already even taller than me!
For my little sister's 18th birthday, we only went out to have a simple dinner. No fancy parties, no gimmicks, just us in the immediate family and this cute Poring Cake I ordered from Humming Bread. Somehow I feel quite guilty that I didn't get anything else for my little sis. But at the same time, I'm glad she loved this Ragnarok Online-reminiscent Poring Cake I got her to remind us of the fun times we've had in the last 18 years of her life. Of course, that included the phase when we were so hooked on RO.
Humming Bread is an online custom cakes shop I came across when I was searching the internet. Every piece displayed on their Facebook page spelled nothing short of excellence. Seriously, it's the only custom cakes shop I saw that guarantees seamless creation of your dream cake, so I just knew I have to place my order at Humming Bread.
It's posted that they require 2 to 4 weeks of lead time, but I was very happy that Ms. Grace Kho-Gan from Humming Bread still accommodated my order even if I contacted them over a week before my little sister's birthday. I specifically asked for a 10-inch wide 3D Poring Cake, and both my sister and I were delighted that this P3,000-worth of pure cuteness and nostalgia wasn't only all-looks but was actually really good taste-wise.
Overall, I couldn't ask for an even more awesome custom cakes shop to have made my little sister's dream Poring Cake come to life. They're very easy to work with, very courteous and responsive, and most of all, puts up wonderful cake creations other shops will find hard to beat. So to Humming Bread, thank you for creating this cute poring masterpiece, and for bringing not just pastry, but also happiness to my little sister.

ReplyDeleteOur order from Humming Bread tasted good! :) The cake itself was soft and moist, yun lang the vanilla cream filling was too sweet for us. Maybe when you order you can ask or even specify how sweet you want the filling to be. And since customized cakes naman, you can choose the flavor for the cake and for the filling on top of the cake design ;)
