Electrolux Discover-E Journey + Contest Announcement!
It's no secret that we Filipinos have an unwavering passion and love for food. Whenever we celebrate with family, friends, colleagues, a special someone, or even just with ourselves, there'll always be good food around whether it be a sumptuous offering from a restaurant, or a hearty home-cooked meal. And with this in mind, Electrolux is embarking on a journey to re-discover our appreciation of Filipino food, culture, and heritage.
This is through Electrolux's Discover-E kitchen campaign which will have a series of activities: the Discover-E Web Series, the Discover-E Food Festival in June, and a photo contest. “As part of our commitment to meet the needs of (Filipino) consumers, Electrolux has carried out a nationwide initiative designed to promote culinary discovery and enjoyment of Filipino cuisine,” says Andrea Pionilla, Group Product Manager, Electrolux Philippines. “Our Discover-E campaign will let consumers discover and do more culinary exploration in their kitchens with the help of Electrolux kitchen appliances.”
The Discover-E Web Series
Electrolux may have already been offering kitchen appliances to help with your culinary journey. However, with the Discover-E campaign, Electrolux will be helping you to further hone your skills as they hold the Discover-E Web Series where they'll teach you of easy ways to do Neo-Filipino dishes which you can prepare and enjoy in your own kitchen.
Electrolux’s celebrity chefs, Chef Bruce Lim and Chef Rosebud Benitez, will showcase the delicacies of different Philippine regions on every episode through an instructional 10-minute YouTube video every Friday. The 2 chefs will be presenting their own recipes while teaching you how to turn ordinary Filipino dishes to 5-star restaurant items.
Electrolux Discover-E Food Festival
To further celebrate and re-discover Filipino cuisine, Electrolux brings together all your favorite Filipino dishes from different parts of the Philippines through the Electrolux Discover-E Food Festival which lets you discover Electrolux's kitchen appliances through new tastes and flavors that you will surely love. This event will also feature different food vendors offering a wide array of Filipino food items, cooking demos by celebrity chefs, little chef apprentice cooking workshops, a cooking challenge for culinary students, live entertainment, raffles, and games. So mark your calendars now, it's June 15 to 16, 2013 at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City. See you there!
Instant Discover-E Photo Contest
If you're like me who loves taking photos of your food before devouring them, then you should definitely join Electrolux's Instant Discover-E Photo Contest. This is aimed at encouraging everyone to take a picture and upload scrumptious Filipino food using either Instagram or Twitter. Once a week, 3 entries with the yummiest picture will be awarded free items, gift certificates and Food Passports for Electrolux Discover-E Food Festival!
To join, simply upload your food photo on Instagram or Twitter, then post it with the hashtag #DiscoverE and tag @ElectroluxPH. Isn't this super simple? Contest period is from May 15 until June 30, 2013, while winners will be announced every week.

ReplyDeleteSince my dad is a chef Electrolux products has always been in the house. I think some of them are still in our kitchen today. It's really nice to know that there are always durable and dependable appliances that can last for years. And I’m really glad that they are hosting a contest such as this one. :)
