Daily Quickie is a short tag on the title which I use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.

Earlier this month, I was lucky to be offered two boxes of Go Nuts Donuts' newest donut flavor, the Cookie Butter Donut. Although I try not to give in to sweet and caloric temptations, I'm not yet crazy to the point of rejecting this gracious offer. So together with the beau, we headed to Go Nuts Donuts' SM Mall of Asia store to pick up these treats.

I still haven't jumped in on the Speculoos Cookie Butter bandwagon, but it just took me one bite from my Cookie Butter Donut before I instantly fell in love. Instead of using nuts, this special spread is made from crushed Speculoos biscuits spiked with cinnamon, nutmeg and other Christmas-y spices. And Go Nuts Donuts, being an ingenious brand that they are, topped their glazed donuts with this cookie butter spread.

Now, if you're like me who prefers your donut not too sweet, a little unconventional, and with a tinge of comforting spices, then this is perfect for you! Although I still won't give up on my other favorite donuts especially on discounted pon de rings which are coincidentally currently available on an online deal site, I think it won't harm to grab a piece or two of the Cookie Butter Donut from Go Nuts Donuts once in a while.

    I recently bought two dozen of those cookie butter donuts. I loved it so much I went back again the next day and bought another two dozen! :D

      I hope I can reply here. I asked GoNuts a few months ago which branches serve cookie butter donuts and they said only Market! Market!, SM Mall of Asia, The Block, SM Makati and Shopwise Arcade Araneta branches sell these. I hope this helps :D

    Looks yummy! But try to check out Krispy Kreme's version too. The Speculoos cookie butter is inside the doughnut and like you, I instantly fell in love with it. I'm sure you'll like it as well. :)(I'm not a Krispy Kreme employee though so no bias at all. Have to try Gonuts Donuts version soon. :D)

    I have a chance to taste this Cookie Butter Donut just last week because of Gonut Donuts Coupon Promo. and i like taste of it. Like you, I prefer a not too sweet donut and this one is ok to me. Unlike my Children.. they love their donuts full of toppings.
