3:15PM Milk Tea: Tea Bag Milk Tea from Taiwan + Giveaway!

I've always been a milk tea lover. Whether it's from an international franchise, or from a homegrown milk tea shop, I make sure to get my needed fix whenever I spot stores selling them. When I find myself busy though, I still try and satiate my craving with powdered milk tea mixes. However, I've recently discovered something even better. It lets me enjoy my milk tea anytime and anywhere, but with all-natural ingredients and at a very affordable price. Ladies and gents, let me introduce you to 3:15PM Milk Tea.

3:15PM Milk Tea is a Taiwanese brand that offers milk tea in tea bags. Yup, you've read it right! These milk teas don't come in powdered form. They're in little tea bags, and are made from all-natural ingredients. Now this is good news especially for people like me who regularly drinks milk teas. We're assured that 3:15PM Milk Tea doesn't contain any artificial flavorings, so no need to hold back on our milk tea helpings.

A few months ago, I was sent a 3:15PM Milk Tea gift pack with 4 of its milk tea variants, and a bonus of canned Oolong Lavender Tea. Currently though, there are 5 flavors of 3:15PM Milk Tea available in stores: Original Milk Tea, Roasted Milk Tea, Rose Fruity Milk Tea, Earl Grey Milk Tea, and Coffee Milk Tea.

Every box of 3:15PM Milk Tea contains 6 sachets of 20g tea bags that retails at P120. That means for every cup or glass you make, you only spend P20! Now this is definitely a steal since regular-sized milk teas from shops are priced at P60 at the very least.

Here's a short review of the 4 3:15PM Milk Tea milk tea flavors I got to try.

Original Milk Tea

I love my milk tea creamy and slightly sweet, but still with a touch of tea's distinct flavor -- and this is definitely what I got from 3:15PM's original variant. Every sip from my hot cup was soothing. I tried serving this cold too, but I found myself loving the hot version more.

Roasted Milk Tea

This roasted variant tastes a little similar to the original flavor, but less sweet and with an added roasted hint. It reminded me strongly of roasted milk teas I've had in other milk tea shops like Dakasi. And while I like it, it's my little sister who devoured every last one of the sachets. She prefers this cold, and adds sugar to make it her perfect glass of milk tea.

Rose Fruity Milk Tea

I like rose and fruity flavors in general, however, I only have bad memories from rose-flavored milk teas I've had in the past. I was expecting this 3:15PM Milk Tea variant to taste weird, but instead, I was greeted with very soothing and aromatic flowery and fruity notes upon first sip. The rose and fruity flavors were very light and well-balanced, nothing too over-the-top unlike my past experiences with rose-infused milk teas. Among the 3:15PM Milk Tea variants, this is the most interesting and my most favorite flavor.

Earl Grey Milk Tea

Last among the 3:15PM Milk Tea variants I got to try was the earl grey flavor. This is probably the most potent and most aromatic of all the 4 I had. From the moment I opened the packet, the air easily got filled with the distinct earl grey aroma, and more so when I steeped the tea bag. Every sip was also of strong earl grey taste. And while I'm neither a hardcore fan of earl grey tea nor milk tea, I'm sure earl grey fans will love this to bits!

I'm glad to say, my little sister and I have finally found the perfect milk tea companion with 3:15PM Milk Tea. Before, we'd only prepare milk tea at home (using powdered mixes) as the last option if we can't go outdoors. But with 3:15PM Milk Tea, I think we'll even ditch the popular milk tea shops. Yup, the quality of 3:15PM Milk Tea is that good! Now, if we can only make our own pearls and pudding...
