Get ready for Neon Invasion Fun Run at QC Memorial Circle!
Although you may know me as a big foodie, I'm also one that advocates balance in lifestyle. So while I may not look like it, I enjoy a good workout for its health and fitness benefits. Lately though, I haven't been working out as much as I wanted. So when I chanced upon this particular fun run that sounded promising, I decided to hop on in!
Even if you're not too fond of joining fun runs or running in general, you might want to check out the Neon Invasion Fun Run 2013 which is dubbed the funkiest and most colorful event of the year. Choose to run, jog, walk, or even dance your way to 5km of music from 4 different eras, with 3 DJs, 2 bands and 1 wild and crazy neon party.
So what can you expect at Neon Invasion Fun Run 2013?
Speaking of singlets, get to choose from a variety of fun colors: blue, green, violet, orange, pink, or yellow. My choice? As much as I love violet, I went for pink. Haha!

1st stage: Disco is the genre of music most readily associated with the 1970s. Music from the likes of disco divas Diana Ross, Donna Summer, popular songs from the movie Saturday Night Fever, featuring the music of the Bee Gees, Beatles and the likes.
2nd stage: The arrival of MTV highlights, the new wave era. Neon lights and laser lights will be highlighted with songs from Michael Jackson, Madonna, and New Kids on the Block, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, The Bangles, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Modern English, U2, Depeche Mode, The Clash, and Pet Shop Boys.
3rd stage: The night clubs. Music from boy bands like back street boys, A1, and Britney Spears, with Hip-Hop from Queen Latifah, Salt-n-Pepa, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, MC Hammer and the likes.
4th stage: Sounds of electro-pop, glitch-pop, new rave, trance, dance-pop, drum and bass, and techno-pop will grove the participants in the after run party.
