Blog Anniversary Giveaway #6: Seattle's Best Coffee

It's that time of the year again... Holiday cheers, simbang gabi, heavy traffic, unending get-togethers, bibingka and puto bumbong, Christmas shopping, longer mall hours, and the season of giving, receiving, and loving. Yup, it definitely feels Christmas, alright!

While December is a month I dread about (spell TRAFFIC), it's a season I excitedly look forward to every year. Aside from Halloween, the holidays is a time when we can let the inner kid in us go wild. Even if I don't usually camwhore, I can't help but not to when I see bright and colorful Christmas décor. Seattle's Best Coffee knows this too. It's probably why they chose a "Christmas in a toyshop" theme for this year's holiday season.

But of course, just the theme is not enough, so Seattle's Best Coffee brings us 4 holiday drinks available hot (Mocha) or cold (Javakula) to satisfy not just the Christmas-loving inner kid in us, but also the caffeine addict in every one of us.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to try all 4 variants, so let me share them with you.

✓ Eggnog Frost

"SBC’s white chocolate mocha perfectly combined with eggnog and cinnamon vanilla flavors topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with silver candy beads."

Contrary to its name, this drink doesn't contain any alcohol. However, every sip gives off that distinct eggnog flavor with a hint of cinnamon. The silver candy beads add elegance, making every cup look more festive and sosyal. And while I usually prefer my flavored coffee cold, I'll have to go with the hot version for this one. Sheer comfort in a cup!

✓ Gingerbest

"SBC’s white chocolate mocha infused with gingerbread syrup, garnished with whipped cream, topped with Christmas tree candy sprinkles and gingerbread candy man."

For those of you who are still on it with the cookie butter craze, this is the perfect drink to satisfy both your coffee and cookie butter craving! The gingerbread candy man adds not only cuteness, but a sweet treat to nibble on as well. If you're curious, I prefer the cold version for this drink as the hot counterpart is a tad too rich and too sweet for me.

✓ Roasted Hazelnut

SBC's classic mocha harmoniously mixed with roasted hazelnut and coffee syrups topped with a cloud of whipped cream, crushed hazelnuts, and snowflake candies.

Less creamy but definitely richer than the 2 previous flavors, this variant is currently SBC's best-selling holiday drink, and I understand why. The roasted hazelnut flavor isn't just a tinge, but definitely there. The crushed hazelnuts add a playful texture and more hazelnut goodness with every sip too. Among the variants, this is the one I enjoyed the most served both hot and cold. It can satisfy both the hazelnut lovers and those who might not be too fond of flavored coffee. So if you're unsure which one to order, get this!

✓ Cookies & Mint

SBC's classic mocha with a tempting mix of Oreo cookies and mint syrup covered with whipped cream and crushed Oreo cookies. An SBC all-time favorite.

Making a comeback for yet another holiday season is the all-time favorite cookie and mint concoction. Among all the variants, this is the one which had a stronger chocolatey taste, so this might be a good choice for all you chocolate lovers out there. The mint is quite subtle though, which is somehow a deal breaker for me since I prefer my minty drink really minty. Nonetheless, every sip either hot or cold is still very enjoyable.

I failed to take note of the prices, but I think SBC's holiday drinks are between P120 to P165 (Mochas) and P150 to P180 (Javakulas), available in small, medium and large.

Aside from SBC's holiday drinks, I can't deny that these 2014 Dream Journals got me all giddy and excited. They may look simple on the outside, but they're definitely a keeper!

Available in purple, brown, charcoal gray and peach, these 2014 Dream Journals come with a sleek leatherette cover which contains at least P3,000-worth of freebies!

Seattle's Best Coffee's 2014 Dream Journal doesn't only contain monthly calendars, but a music CD compilation of SBC's 2014 playlist, a twin coaster, a cute heart-shaped metal bookmark, a set of foldable notepads, monthly coupons, stickers and more!

To get yourself the 2014 Dream Journal, you'll just have to do the following:

• Get an SBC Dream Card and collect 18 stickers from October 24, 2013 to January 15, 2014.
• Collect 8 holiday drink stickers.
• Collect 10 regular drink (excluding bottled drinks and water) stickers.
• Once all stickers are completed, cardholder must submit the SBC Dream Card to redeem an SBC Dream Journal from any cafes nationwide.
• A combination of up to 2 cards will be allowed.
• A portion of the total sales of a completed SBC Dream Card will be donated to SBC’s partner organization, World Vision.
• Redemption of the SBC Dream Journal is up to March 16, 2014 only.
