Layered Dip: Which Layer is Your Favorite?
Six layers? Seven layers? Who cares? Layered dips are perfect for large or intimate parties alike. They are also great when you and your sweetheart are on the couch enjoying a night-in watching movies. But how do you find one that you really like? The answer to that is to try different ones out and then do a little refining at home to cater them to your own tastebuds. I've got a few recipe ideas for you that I found on the Kraft website. They aim to please.
Ultimate 7 Layer Dip
If you like smothered nachos, you are going to love this 7 layer dip. It has everything your heart could desire. Refried beans, sour cream, olives and cheese. Your mouth’s watering already, right?
The great thing about this one is that it is very simple and takes very little time to make. You need to heat up the refried beans but aside from that all you are doing is adding on the layers. I'm sure you are going to enjoy this one thoroughly. And if you don't like one of the layers, you can just leave it off or change it out for something else. Thank you, Kraft!
Six-Layer Dip
This six layer dip is a cream cheese and avocado based dip, perhaps one for those of us who like to entertain those with a more sophisticated palate. This dip is anything but bland. With tomato, green onions, cheese and sour cream, it’s both tangy and creamy.
The only downside to this dip is that it takes 3 hours to make. But all good things come to those who wait, right? Sometimes putting in more effort will yield a delicious result you won't regret.
Athenos 7 Layer Dip
If you like to put a little Greek spin on things from time to time, give this dip a try. We are talking hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, olives and crumbled feta.
This dip is for those who like things that are quick and simple but have a lot of flavour. It only takes 10 minutes to make and you can scale up if you are having more guests or just make it to order.
Mediterranean Six Layer Dip
If you like to enjoy something that is a little bit on the healthier side, give this dip a try. It has spinach, olives, tomatoes, green onions, feta and cream cheese. It takes a little longer to make but I think that you are going to love it. Also, like the other dips, the only other thing you need to serve it with is chips. With this dip, you might opt for pita chips instead of the traditional tortilla chips to fit the Mediterranean theme.
Hopefully, you now have some great dip ideas to entertain guests or just enjoy your night in. Remember, no one has to know you didn't come up with this on your own.
