Earlier this year, a Japanese-Korean restaurant at the corner of Kalayaan and Makati Avenue that goes by the name of
Genji M, has successfully enticed sushi and sashimi lovers like me with its
eat-all-you-can sushi and sashimi offering. Now, it has already been four months, so let's revisit
Genji M and see what's new this time around!
One of the newest promos at
Genji M is the
Ready Set Go Lunch which is basically a
timed buffet. Unlike regular eat-all-you-can buffets, one can only avail and enjoy the
Ready Set Go Lunch buffet for a specific amount of time -- 20 minutes, 40 minutes, or 60 minutes. This promo will only be available from Mondays to Fridays, and obviously, only during lunch. So for yuppies working in Makati looking to stuff themselves full on a quick lunch break and without breaking the bank, this is a good option on how to do it.
From what I know, main dishes and sushi rolls for the
Ready Set Go Lunch change everyday. But to give you an idea on what you can expect on the spread should you try this promo out, here are five of the dishes we got to sample on our visit.

This
Ready Set Go Lunch Buffet promo is a good deal if you can eat quick during lunch. However, for those like me who prefers eating more of sushi and sashimi, and at my own pace, there's still the
Unlimited Sushi and Sashimi which starts at P499.

And speaking of which,
Genji M has revamped quite a few things to better deliver to the surprising demand when this
Unlimited Sushi and Sashimi promo was started. I remember some of my readers have complained on how slow the service was especially for dinner, or how the waiting time to get seated was absurd.

Well, good news!
Genji M has already gone through a change of management and a change of head chef which brought in better operating system and customer service. Although food is still made after every order (Yup, you tick the form to order what you want. No need to stand up and get your fill from a spread of
who-knows-how-long-it's-been-sitting pre-made sushi and sashimi), serving time is now significantly faster.
Oh, and those availing of the
Unlimited Menu whether just sushi or sushi and sashimi, can also enjoy whatever's on the buffet table when available.
Ala Carte Dishes
Apart from the eat-all-you-can offerings,
Genji M has also rolled out new items on their ala carte menu, which is now available for delivery (thru 212121) by the way.

Lean Hour Dinner deals starting with a 20% discount from 4:30PM to 6PM, and a 10% discount from 8PM to 9:30PM every Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
