OOTD: Cotton Candy and Florals
Thank you so much for the warm welcome ya'll showed to my first ever OOTD post! (▰˘◡˘▰) I've actually been quite anxious how fashion blogging would fit me and the blog. You know, this being a food and lifestyle blog, generally... But because of the warmth and support, I've become more excited to share with you even more looks! Yay! ヾ(*⌒ヮ⌒*)ã‚ž
This one, I wore back in December, when I went out to pre-Christmas dinner at Grace Park with the bf, Berylle and her other half. And before you judge the bad lighting and photo quality, and my derp face and awkward poses, I'm already giving you a heads up that most of the looks I'll be posting for now are ones I wore and shot last month. BUT, I'll definitely be trying my best to put up better-looking OOTDs -- photo-wise, pose-wise and style-wise.
Anyway... I've always loved the combination of knitted tops and light, flowy skirts. It just gives off that dainty, charming, not-too-made-up vibe which I always love going for. And while I know my slightly-cropped pink knitted top can make me look fuller in some angles, I still adore wearing it. Snatched it from Zara during a sale, and I've always wanted to wear it out ever since. Like, wear it outside, and not wear it out like worn out. Okay?
By the way, this is the first time in years that I've worn falsies without needing to take it off mid-day! Super happy of how my Dolly Wink false lashes held up. I might just make a review of it super soon. Will just be needing to take decent photos of my eyes.
I like the overall look of over-accessorizing. But since the patterns on my outfit was already interesting enough, at least for me, I decided to keep the accessories simple. Stud earrings which you can't see, 'cause I didn't realize I needed a photo. A simple cat long necklace 'cause cats are awesome. (I just adopted a cat, by the way. So, new cat food pourer here!) And chunky chain bracelets in gold, 'cause I love mixing up my silvers and golds like that.
Oh! And to address the most important thing... I wore socks with this outfit not because I wanted to feel like a school girl again. My feet eczema was actually acting up that day, so I thought I'd cover it both to protect other people's eyes, and to stop myself from scratching my feet and making the eczema worse. But what do you think? Did I channel some Tricia Gosingtian or did I just make a clown of myself? ლ(⊙﹏⊙ლ) Honestly, I feel both. Haha!
Okay, leaving you this photo without the feet and the awful socks. I know right-above-the-ankle-length socks can generally make one's legs chunky, unless yours is already slender and supermodel's-like. I can't promise I won't hurt your eyes with my socks again, but I'll try my best to veer away from it from now on. I feel like I'm one of those unlucky people who can't rock the sock-ed look, even if I really wanted too. Boo! 。゚(゚´Ð”`゚)゚。
Anyhow, I hope you can give this look a hype, in spite and despite of... The socks. Tee-hee! My Lookbook is just fresh from the resurrection table, so I'd really be grateful for all the support. (b'∀')b If you have one too, just let me know and I'd be more than happy to check it out and give you a hype! *wink*
Happy Friday everyone! Let's all enjoy the weekend up ahead. Woohoo! (ノ´ãƒ®´)ノ*:・゚✧

I love knitted tops, too! Manila weather these days is perfect for it. Cute lang ng socks. Bagay sa whole look mo.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs. K! You're too kind! <3 Anyway, I hope the sweater weather won't leave Manila any time soon...
DeleteI'm also a fan of wearing socks with those kinds of heeled shoes. I took inspiration from Japanese lookbook users and thought that it combines both comfort and style. :) My mom and sister make fun of me every time I go for that but who cares? Haha. Totally love this look - very girly and charming. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's quite hard when people don't understand our sense of fashion, no? But I take inspiration from Japanese fashion too, so I totally get you! :D Thanks, Roch! <3
