OOTD: Crop, Harem and Graffiti
If there's one thing I'm still not getting a hang of when it comes to posting OOTDs, it's the title-giving. Haha! So please forgive me if this post's title doesn't make much sense, or if it's too literal and uninspiring. But at the moment, it's already the best I can do. 。゚・(>﹏<)・゚。
Ever since I started with this fashion blogging thing, I've been trying to find my personal style and explore more kind of styles, especially ones which I'm not too used on seeing myself in. Or better yet, styles which I initially thought doesn't and would never suit me. So after trying to rock the midi skirt, this time, I'm attempting to sport a pair of harem pants.
It was back in college when I first saw the harem pants. I wanted to try it since my schoolmates look really fashionable wearing them. However, when I bought my first pair, I regretted it and those pants just rotted in my closet. It didn't help too that the boyf finds the style a little weird. He even calls them the "clowny pants". I guess it's too baggy for this taste.
But that was over five years ago. And today is a new day, so I finally tried this style again after spotting this nice pair of black and white polka dot harem pants at H&M in SM North EDSA.
I actually bought this pair without trying them on first, so I wasn't too sure how I'd like it. 'Cause hey, I can always return and exchange them for another item, right?
But it turns out that I love this pair! It didn't look too baggy, and thankfully, it doesn't make me look smaller than I actually am. As long as I balance it out with a shorter top, I'm good.
I actually feel very confident in harem pants. They're just so comfortable! And paired with the right top, shoes and accessories, I think it gives off an effortless yet still fashionable look.
But, I could be wrong. I feel like harem pants are an example of a "love it or hate it" piece, just like leggings and jeggings (which I really love). And I'm curious. Which side are you on?

you look good. You carry yourself well. Coming up with a nice blog post title is always a challenge for me too. But I think the most important is the content of the post. Love your sandals too. where did you get them? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the really kind words, Mayen! :) I've been so used to making titles for food and lifestyle posts, but when it comes to OOTDs and other topics that require more creativity, I really find myself having a hard time. Haha!

DeleteYou look great on those harem pants, Sumi. What I love about putting up OOTD posts is that aside from the look I'm sporting, I also get to share life lessons as well to my readers and that's how I, usually, pull the titles for my posts. Keep those OOTD posts coming, Sumi! :)
