SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion Review
For a while now, I've been an advocate of loving one's self. If you're stick thin, or more on the plump side, as long as you're physically, mentally and emotionally healthy, then I'm all for acceptance and self-love. And whether you rock a paler complexion, or a morena tan, I want you to be comfortable in your own skin, much like how I have fully accepted even skin as problematic as mine. Because really, each one of us is unique. And we should celebrate the features that make us different, not try to be copies of one another.
However, if you want to change to make a better version of yourself, then I fully support you. As long as you're not putting yourself or the people you love in any harm, then I don't see anything wrong with it. Eating right and working out not just to stay healthy, but also lose the pounds and get in shape? I'm behind you! And even when I find all skin colors beautiful, I'm not against skin whitening at all. Actually, most people I know who whiten their skin (myself included) don't go through the process because they want to have fair skin. We just want to go back to having our old complexion -- one that was lost due to daily sun exposure.
And if you're one of us, someone who wants to try whitening his or her skin, but doesn't want to resort to extreme (spell: invasive) measures, then this product review might just be of help.
I've always been familiar with the brand, but the first time I found myself very intrigued was when I saw one of the TV commercials for the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion, which claims to whiten the complexion instantly. #InstaWhite ba kamo?
Unlike other whitening lotions, SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion is said to whiten the skin instantly upon application, while also continuously working to help reveal your whitest white. It makes use of an exclusive Advanced Tripower Technology which is the secret to how the lotion can not only help whiten the skin over time, but also give it a noticeably whiter appearance just by applying on the spot.
But while other whitening products leave the skin dull and dry, SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion is said to also help nourish the skin with its Vitanourish formula that contains vitamins B3, B5 and E to give the skin intense moisturization. It also has an SPF20 to protect the skin from damage and further darkening from harmful UV rays.
SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion's packaging is pretty standard, but the product itself surprised me. Most lotions I've used in the past are creamy, some are quite runny, even. But SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion has a thicker, denser consistency.
As for the smell, it has a spring floral scent that's pretty common for most lotions in the market. I actually find it nice.
To be honest, I wasn't sure if SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion will really make my skin appear lighter immediately upon application...
But when I applied some lotion to the right half of my hand, I can immediately tell the difference. It might have not transferred well on camera, but in person, I can really see that the right half where I applied SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion looks lighter.
I also tested the lotion on my left arm, and compared it to my right arm where I didn't put any product on. Lighting on the photo might have played a big role in showing the difference. But in person, there really is a difference. Trust me!
I've noticed that the part where I put SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion on doesn't actually "look whiter" per se. The lotion makes the skin more radiant and bounces off a good amount of light, which makes it seem fairer.
I haven't tested the lotion long enough to see how it whitens the skin over time, but give me about a month and I will be updating this post. (I've only been using the lotion for a week.)
Would I (re-)purchase?
Oh yes! Though I'm not yet 100% sure that SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion will make my skin lighter over time, I'm already very happy with the #InstaWhite effect it gives upon every application. It makes the skin look more radiant, more rosy and a shade lighter. It's perfect when wearing sleeveless tops, dresses, shorts or skirts.
Overall, I'm impressed with SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion. I don't recommend it just to people who want to look a bit fairer, but even to those who are already happy with their complexion. You will find that the lotion makes the skin look more radiant and healthier, which is what we all want our skin to look like, regardless of color.
